# About Climb Local

Climb Local is an independent directory built to make local climbing gyms easier to find, compare, and visit. It is not a gym chain, booking platform, or governing body.

## Place comes first

State and city pages make it easier to understand nearby climbing options.

## Useful public data

Climb Local organizes public facility information into consistent profiles and explains material data gaps.

## Community corrections

Gyms open, move, and evolve. [Send a correction](https://www.climblocal.org/contact.md) with a public source when possible.
