Privacy policy
A plain-language summary of the information Climb Local handles.
Information you provide
If you email us, we receive the address, message, and any information you choose to include. We use it to answer the request, verify a correction, and maintain the directory.
Location search
The “near me” tool asks your browser for approximate coordinates only after you choose to share them. Distance calculations happen in your browser. Climb Local does not intentionally store those coordinates on its servers.
Routine technical data
Our hosting and security providers may process standard request data such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate performance. Their handling is governed by their own terms and privacy commitments.
Cookies and analytics
The site may use limited first-party storage or privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic and remember functional choices. If advertising or analytics technology is added, this policy will be updated to describe it and any choices available to you.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers needed to operate the site, when you ask us to, or when required by law. We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably useful for the directory, recordkeeping, security, or legal obligations.
Your choices
You may decline browser location access and search manually. You may ask us to delete personal information you sent directly, subject to reasonable legal and security exceptions, by emailing privacy@climblocal.org.
Changes
We may revise this policy as the site changes. The date above shows the latest published version.
